It is not easy to find the best ones, sometimes I have had to spend more to realize which balls are worthwhile.

In this post, I am going to recommend some of the ones that I have found to be of higher quality, and that I use today in my trainings, both in my personal training and in classes with my students.

One that I like a lot, and whose value for money far exceeds the others, is the "Dunlop Tour Brilliance", it is a ball with a lot of hair, like the "Dunlop Fort All Court".

Only with your touch do you know that there is quality in these balls, and their price is always usually a little lower.

Another point in favor, if you are one of those who use the same boat several times. These balls hold pressure very well, they do not get as soft as others, and since the felt is quite thick, it preserves the hair very well.

Since I have played tennis they have been a classic, few balls come in a metal can, only very high-end ones, and this ball has always been Dunlop's high-end.

If you have a very high level it will last you a long game, but if you have an intermediate level you have a ball for several games, it takes a long time to get soft and as it has a very thick felt, it will always have hair.

I give it a 4.5 / 5, a ball that never misses, on any surface, although it is used especially for clay courts.

Head ATP

Another classic is the "Head ATP", because Head has been the official supplier of the ATP circuit for many years, and with this ball the "ATP finals" have been played several times, the tournament that only players who finish the year can access. top 10.

I give it a 4.5 / 5 as well, because the felt is very good and the touch when hitting it with the racket is also good, but if you are one of those who use the balls several games, then they will not serve you, they lose pressure very few days compared to other brands.

Faster tennis balls

You have to bear in mind that this type of ball has a lower durability compared to the previous ones that I have proposed.

What do I mean when I label them as fast tennis balls?

Tennis balls considered fast have a very live bounce and usually have a little more pressure inside. In addition, the felt is usually thinner or less thick.

If you are someone who likes to keep the ball in play, that is, you like to play long rallies, I recommend using them on slow courts like clay.

If, on the other hand, you are an aggressive player who likes short points more, it will be better to use them on hard courts.

Tecnifibre Champion One

I have also tried the "Tecnifibre Champion One" in some tournaments, very similar to the Head Championship and more or less as durable.

Felt is very similar, although it is a softer ball, it is not as hard at first.

Sometimes it is appreciated, because when it is very hard, at the beginning it bounces a lot and gets more on you, apart from the fact that the boat is more alive and you have to be more concentrated.

I also give it a 3.5 / 5. I would dare to suggest that maybe, they even come out of the same factory, they are very, very similar.

Penn Championship

A curious fact is that this ball is seen a lot on the courts in the United States, but not in Europe, and that "Penn" is owned or associated in some way with "Head", because the "Head" logo appears on the "Penn Championship" jackpots.

There the "Penn Championship" ball is sold and here in Europe the "Head Championship", when if you look at the 2 balls they look identical.

Therefore I give the 2 balls the same score, a 3.5 / 5, and I encourage you to try the 2 so you can see for yourself.

THE BEST TENNIS BALLS OF 2021

One of the peculiarities that tennis balls have is that although they may all seem the same at first glance, in reality they are not since there are small differences that make each type of ball in particular, recommended for a type of court or another and also for each player level. In this way, it will not be the same to use a tennis ball for a dirt surface, than if we are playing on grass or if, for example, we want to start teaching someone to play in a more informal way on an asphalt court (tennis 5) or Green set.

In my humble opinion and having tested many balls on different surfaces, the Dunlop Fort ball is definitely the one I prefer. At high level and with intense rally, it lasts 2 or 3 games without practically losing performance. Add that it is a Type 2 ball, like the vast majority of balls regulated by the ITF.

Its quality / price ratio is unbeatable if you look for them online (the price of traditional stores is much more expensive) and the ball pot is very pleasant, almost on par with much more expensive balls.

As its name suggests, the Dunlop Fort All Court ball is designed to be used on any surface and for any level of play.

WHAT WE THINK ABOUT THE HEAD ATP BALL

The Head ATP ball is a ball designed exclusively for competition. For this reason, I consider it to be one of the best for its use, the competition.

The Head ATP will give us a sublime performance, but no more than 1 game. Personally I think that the performance of these balls are to squeeze the maximum 1 game and then discard them. They don't have durability, nor is it what they're looking for.

So I highly recommend them if you are looking to prepare your competition match, since they are also the most used by the Spanish tennis federation. As a note say that they are slightly faster than the Dunlop even though they are also Type 2 tennis balls.

WHAT WE THINK ABOUT THE DUNLOP FORT CLAY COURT BALL

Above we have seen the Dunlop All Court, well, now we bring you the Dunlop Fort Clay Court. They are specialized tennis balls for clay surfaces (clay).

Although they have the same characteristics as the All Court, these Dunlop Fort Clay Court tennis balls for the same price as the generic ones will give us a plus when we use them on clay.
